This week was once again a mix of technical tasks and creative processes. It started with further developing the Bubbles & Bo website, where we ultimately settled on a clean, minimalist design. This was an important milestone, as we could now present the design to the client for approval and potential adjustments. What stood out to me this week was how everything is gradually coming together, both in terms of design and functionality, and I feel really satisfied with our progress.
Beyond Bubbles & Bo, there were plenty of new challenges. I had a meeting with Lodewijk about updates for the Indicia & Tailor It website, which gave me valuable insights into client needs and how to tailor my work to different requirements. The rest of my week was filled with various assignments, such as fixing bugs on a German website and reviewing translations for a solar panel website. Both tasks had their challenges, but I found it interesting to work with website code in a different language and ensure accurate translations. One key takeaway was that checking translations can be more complex than expected, especially when it’s difficult to determine if a translation is truly precise and contextually correct.
Another task that stood out this week was the animation for H&C Coaches. After updating their logo, I received positive feedback from Thomas and Mees, particularly regarding my use of After Effects for the animation. This reinforced the importance of being flexible and switching between tools quickly to achieve the desired result. This lesson was further emphasized when I worked on fixing bugs for Just Padel, where I learned how crucial it is to carefully track every step when making live updates, especially for websites with thousands of monthly users.
Overall, this week felt like a week of persistence. I learned a lot—especially about how different tasks complement each other and how important it is to work meticulously. My goal for the week was to make progress both technically and creatively, and I definitely succeeded.
Next week, I expect to continue working on Bubbles & Bo, while also diving deeper into other aspects of the work, such as bug fixing and content adjustments for clients. I’m feeling more comfortable within the team and look forward to the new challenges ahead.
