As I wrapped up this final internship week, everything seemed to come together. It started with a request to create a compact yet professional brand book for TotalFund. This finally gave their colors, typography, and tone a fixed place. After an initial version, quick iterations followed based on their feedback until the document felt like a logical extension of the site. Meanwhile, that same site needed refinement on mobile. Some sections were shifted or too cramped. By coding extra alignment options and fine-tuning the margins, the page now looks well-balanced even on small screens. It was detailed work, but the result appears calmer and more professional.
It was special to capture all the projects (from the Dakpandirect redesign to the TotalFund animations and the Indicia SEO pages) in one narrative. It showed what went well, such as understanding technical problems, quickly switching between design and code, and turning feedback directly into concrete improvements.
During the final presentation, I noticed how naturally the story flowed. All the puzzle pieces fit together. Supervising lecturer and assessor Mark confirmed that I can confidently await my evaluation, which was an immediate relief. The appreciation from colleagues, especially for the reusable blocks in Shopify and the clear structure of the brand book, gave me energy and confirmed that my work truly adds value.
My goal for this week was simple: finish everything so I could conclude my internship calmly. That goal was achieved. In the short term, I want to deepen my new knowledge in After Effects and continue working on modular web design, since those two themes proved the most fascinating during the internship. In the longer term, I expect that my experience at Indicia. From the freedom to devise my own solutions to collaborating with various disciplines will provide a solid foundation for my further studies and career.
