This week centered on balancing client-focused design work with fine-tuning functional features, yielding important lessons. From the start, it was clear that Artiteq was the priority: their Figma designs required precise adaptation and modernization, which took time but ultimately produced a set of mockups approved by the team. That creative focus was interspersed with technical tasks on Dakpandirect, where I verified that all components ran flawlessly under the new Shopify account after the relaunch.
Midweek, the interim evaluation gave me insight into my own workflow: filling out and submitting the review highlighted my strengths (visual design, rapid iteration) and areas for growth (time estimation when handling multiple parallel projects). That reflection proved useful when feedback on the Howden animation led to a brief but valuable revision round, resulting in an animation that aligned perfectly with the branding guidelines.
Implementing a “order in multiples of 6” feature for Perfecte Wijn was another highlight. Together with Lodewijk, I tested the feature in detail and fixed bugs, ensuring customers can now select only the correct packaging units. This technical task demanded patience and precision, confirming that an iterative build-test-adjust approach always works best.
I also noticed how quickly priorities shifted: one moment I was designing in Figma, the next I was debugging Shopify scripts. Because of this, I realize I need to sharpen my weekly schedule with dedicated blocks for design and development so I don’t have to switch contexts constantly.
Despite the shifting priorities, I achieved concrete results: a modern Figma mockup set for Artiteq, a flawless “per 6” ordering function for Perfecte Wijn, and a completed interim evaluation that provides direction for the rest of my internship. With this mix of creative work and technical deepening, I close out the week with greater focus and a clearer plan for the period ahead.
