Internship Indicia Week 12

Precision deliveries & collaborative wins

This week was all about completing and delivering two major design projects, with a refreshing break for Easter Monday in between. After that day off, I focused entirely on the Artiteq website, where replicating existing style elements required precise work. It was an intensive process to translate every visual component from typography to imagery into Figma mockups, but the result is a set of designs that align with the brand identity and are ready for further development. Midweek, installing the SSL certificate for the Backelandt site proved pivotal: technical roadblocks disappeared, and Sven and I were able to finalize the front end. During the project meeting, we gained insight into upcoming assignments for Living First and other clients, which enriched my schedule with new priorities. With that information, I immediately scheduled specific changes for Living First and then moved on to the final checks for Backelandt. Delivery went smoothly: Jip approved the site, after which I incorporated his feedback and Lodewijk’s notes and made the site deployment-ready.
On the last day, the focus shifted back to creative iterations: the Artiteq designs were refined with small details, and I added extra variations to the Bubbles mockups. This mix of technical delivery and visual design provided a pleasant balance.

What went well was promptly acting on feedback: as soon as Lodewijk raised points, I implemented them immediately, keeping turnaround time short. The rapid removal of roadblocks after the SSL installation also underscored how crucial technical prerequisites are for a smooth workflow. What could improve is scheduling review sessions for new assignments earlier, so I’m not caught off guard midweek. Next week, I plan to reserve fixed slots in my calendar for feedback rounds and project updates.
All in all, this week delivered a clear blend of precision work and teamwork: two websites that are technically and visually ready for the next step, plus fresh perspectives on future projects thanks to team meetings. With these insights and a tighter schedule, I look forward to the projects ahead with confidence.
