This week offered a captivating blend of creative reorientation and technical challenges, with a focus on revitalizing and optimizing various websites. One of the highlights was the ability to quickly switch between diverse tasks. The complete redesign of the Backelandt Fysiotherapie website allowed me to gather new design elements and develop a fresh vision a highly motivating endeavor. At the same time, deciding to completely replace the existing theme for Dakpandirect due to persistent technical restrictions and ambiguities in error tracing provided a valuable lesson in flexibility and the importance of establishing clear technical parameters. This decision created the space for a custom solution with the potential to significantly enhance the user experience.
Despite these positive developments, some obstacles surfaced. For example, the absence of an SSL certificate imposed unwanted limitations, preventing the use of all necessary pro-plugins and somewhat restricting design possibilities. Feedback from colleagues and clients helped steer the search for solutions, leading to a critical evaluation of available tools and infrastructure. These insights underscore the importance of proactively checking all technical prerequisites from the start in order to avoid future delays.
Additionally, efforts were made to deliver consistent and visually appealing content, as seen in the projects for OnFire Events. The creation of a content plan in Figma and the use of Adobe Premiere Pro for video production reflected growing professionalism and demonstrated the ability to transform creative ideas effectively. Although juggling multiple projects simultaneously sometimes felt overwhelming, it provided an opportunity to further develop my time management and problem-solving skills. The ultimate goal to build functionally robust and engaging websites was largely achieved, although there remains room for further refinement in optimizing technical processes and design details.
Armed with the lessons of this week, I look forward to the coming week, during which I plan to translate the feedback into a more structured and efficient approach, enabling better handling of both technical and creative challenges.
