Most of my time this week was devoted to finishing and fine-tuning my internship report and presentation. By scheduling morning blocks for corrections and visual material, my confidence in the narrative grew. It was a real relief when everything was locked and ready for export.
After that, there was room to pick up assignments again. Rik’s feedback email about Living First was a perfect example: he was happy with the new state of the website but requested a few minor improvements. Implementing them right away showed me how much faster I can now work with Divi, despite its known limitations. The success came in the positive reply that arrived immediately. Those short feedback loops make the work enjoyable.
What went less smoothly was the discount functionality for VIP members on Cannabisolie.com. We wanted to solve it in code, but Shopify simply wouldn’t allow it. That cost some time, and in the end we had to resort to an external app.
A fun task was the animation for TotalFund. The first attempt in DaVinci Resolve yielded little, but it did help me learn the program. By ultimately switching to After Effects, I could refine the final product more quickly and align it better with the client’s wishes. The many small revisions required patience but showed how important it is to stay flexible in tool choice.
The quieter end of the week gave me time for my own project, which I used to experiment with new techniques.
My goal was to complete the report and presentation entirely and keep ongoing sites up to date, and I achieved that. Next week, I hope to receive the last client assignments to work on during my remaining weeks. I also want to expand the animation skills I’m now using in After Effects so that revision rounds go even faster. With a finished report in hand and a clear list of final tasks, I enter the last weeks of my internship with confidence.
