Internship Indicia Week 9

Week of optimization and insight

This week was characterized by a calm start that gradually evolved into a period of intensive technical and organizational work. The focus was on perfecting existing websites and resolving various bugs. In the beginning, I implemented significant design tweaks for Bubbles & Bo and updated documentation, which went smoothly and instilled confidence in the week’s progress. Later, a relatively simple task such as creating a trackable QR code for Cannabisolie.com provided a brief, positive change of pace, as it was quickly and efficiently executed. Simultaneously, several small errors and design details were noted on PerfecteWijn.nl, highlighting a different aspect of the work. The goal was to create a consistent and user-friendly website, but challenges arose: resolving issues in the Google Search Console proved to be a complex puzzle, one that required the expertise of my colleague Thomas as the week progressed. This experience underscored the importance of timely specialist support for solving technical issues effectively.
Within Indicia’s TailorIt projects, I also had the opportunity to implement structural improvements. While streamlining the training modules and adjusting the website structure for clarity, the repetitive nature of the work challenged me to seek more efficient methods. Despite the monotony, I managed to remain creative and improve the training materials. Another key focus was customer communication, particularly with H&C Coaches. The client’s feedback regarding desired adjustments indicated a need for a more proactive response to specific requests and improved communication for future enhancements.
Although technical obstacles such as the unresolved chat bubble issue on Dakpandirect were frustrating and served as a reminder that not everything is within our control, this week provided a balanced mix of successes and learning experiences. My goal of making the websites more stable and user-friendly was partially achieved, yet the complexity of some challenges revealed that there is still room for improvement. Armed with these insights, I plan to adopt a more proactive approach next week, with a focus on identifying bottlenecks early and engaging specialist support to further optimize our work processes.
