This week was primarily focused on resolving technical issues and further refining the various websites I work on. The week began with a significant challenge: automating the URL‑correction process for Cannabas.de. Since I had limited experience with Python, it was a valuable learning experience, but I ultimately succeeded in correcting the URLs using a script. This accomplishment gave me a great sense of satisfaction and demonstrated how much I’ve improved my technical skills.
I also had the opportunity to launch the Fortinet training modules for Tailor IT, which felt rewarding because it represented a concrete outcome of all the work I’d invested in the project. Another lesson I learned this week was the importance of effective collaboration with colleagues working with Lodewijk on the Datatoppers Academy website to improve functionality for logged‑in users was especially valuable.
Another task that took up much of my time was populating content for the new PerfecteWijn website. Although it was repetitive work, completing it felt satisfying because it freed me to focus on higher‑impact projects. While not the most exciting task, it reinforced how crucial it is to handle administrative details thoroughly for a better user experience.
Midweek, I enjoyed a welcome change of pace when Jip from the AI team asked me to create a simple loading animation for an AI feature on a webpage. This small but fun project reminded me of the importance of blending creativity with technical skill.
What stood out to me this week was the need to remain flexible and patient when working across different systems. While fixing bugs on the Cannabas site, I learned how to implement new features a process that was both challenging and educational. Those changes allowed me to deepen my coding knowledge.
My goal for this week was to resolve technical issues and accelerate progress across multiple projects, which I successfully achieved. Next week, I expect more of the same continuing to improve the websites I manage and I look forward to more creative work, such as designing animations for clients.
